It's been a while...

Okay so its been quite a while since I last posted. I'm really sorry about that, not that anyone actually reads this.

Mexico was a lot of fun, though far past. I am looking forward to returning hopefully the last 2 weeks of June or the first 2 weeks of July, depending on Richie's work. Maybe on mine too, if I ever get a job!

So, last Tuesday I had a job interview for a para-pro position in Portage. Being a Para-Pro isn't exactly what I wanted, but it would be a job and it would be in my related field. It would also be in my desired teaching district, so there is hope for a teaching job (maybe). Well that interview was a week ago, just when I think I'm never going to hear back from them, I got a call today! They want to have sort of a 2nd interview, but for an Elementary Para-Pro position rather than the High School Position I had originally interviewed for. This would be cool because that was one of my concerns: being in High School when I'm Elementary Certified. That wouldnt have gotten me any "connections" to the inside. =) But, this looks hopeful. So, we'll see. It's steady work. No benefits, but that's okay. It's higher pay than subbing...

Speaking of subbing...I subbed for 1/2 a day yesterday. First time back since last year. It was fun. I subbed at LC, my interning stomping grounds. =) It was good to see everyone. I have 5 more sub positions lined up, which Ill have to give up if I get this job. That is the only thing I will miss...all my buddies at LC. However, maybe I'll get a job teaching there some day. =)

So...I really have to get a job because we want to head to Florida this Christmas break and we cant do it if I dont get the job to earn the cash to go. So that is another bonus for getting a job, even though subbing would get us there too...just at a little slower pace because the pay isnt as good.

Other than that, not much has been happening. Just my usual insomniac self. Been playing a lot on Myspace. Selling crap on Ebay. And that's pretty much it. Sticking to my diet most of the time. Sticking to Curves all of the time. It's one thing I do not miss. =)

3 Days Until Mexico!!

I am really excited because there are only 3 days until I leave for Mexico! I can not wait!

The only thing Im sad about is I have to leave Ruby & Walter. Im nervous about leaving them with a sitter, they will be okay, but you know they are my fur babies.

Yesterday I went back to Lake Center to see my beautiful 5th graders graduate elementary school. It was very nice to see them! I miss them all! I really hope I find a job soon.

Okay so here is the plan for my vacation:

June 15 - Drive to Detroit - Take Dad out to dinner for Father's Day. Staying at Comfort Inn.
June 16- 7am flight to Cancun! Gotta be at the airport by 5am! Early morning!
June 17- Dolphin Swim with Dad!
June 18 - 3rd Anniversary....spending the day lounging at the pool with Richie and rents.
June 19- Xcaret Eco-Park. Fun Fun Fun!!
June 20 - Nada...relax at the pool all day
June 21- Playa Del Carmen to shop until we drop!!
June 22- Relax by pool.
June 23 - Mom and Dad fly home =( 1 week over...1 to go.

The next week we dont have much planned. We're planning a trip to Tulum and Coba...but we dont know what else yet!

My grad party was on June 7. I was very happy because my brother came from Atlanta to be with me! I appreciated it so much.

May 30, 2008 - A Depressing Day

Okay, yesterday I had a job interview in a little town around here. I thought it went really well. The principal even said I did well.....but then today I get the call that I wasnt chosen for a 2nd interview. =( I have no idea why, he even told me again that I did really well. So what gives? No idea. So now Im really depressed because I havent had any other leads lately. My 2nd interview as a professional and I havent gotten either one. I know, I shouldnt give up, its only 2 interviews...most people have to go for many, many before they get anything. So Ill keep my chin up.

My graduation party is next weekend...so thats exciting and I am going to Mexico in 17 days...so thats great too....I just have to keep my mind on the exciting things in life.

Oh and another not so great thing.....I havent been able to sleep much for the last week. I think my mind is too busy thinking of this and that. I need something to help me relax, but what??
